Kevin Gosling, Chief Executive
Kevin leads Collections Trust and is the main point of contact for our grant funders, Spectrum Partners and other key stakeholders. He is also the person to talk to about potential consultancy projects. He joined as Chief Executive in September 2015, returning some twenty years after helping launch Spectrum as one of MDA’s regional outreach team. He was previously Director of Communications at the Britten–Pears Foundation and has also worked for the Museum of London and the museum-planning consultants Lord Cultural Resources.

Sarah Brown, Outreach Officer
Sarah is the face of Collections Trust around the country, and works closely with the museum development network across the English regions to deliver free, ACE-funded events (she can also deliver training elsewhere on a consultancy basis). Sarah is the person to contact with your collection management queries, and also maintains the cultural property advice platform on this website. She originally trained as a conservator and has worked in various collections management roles, most recently managing the team that secured £1.3m HLF support for Kent Mining Museum.

Gordon McKenna, Standards Manager
Gordon looks after the standards that are the heart of our work, leading the fifth revision of Spectrum: the UK Collections Management Standard. For more than two decades he has wrangled data for many large-scale collections-sharing projects, particularly for the Europeana platform. This gives him an unrivalled grasp of the practicalities involved in creating and sharing high-quality collections data. Gordon also works on a wide range of consulting assignments.

Laura Davidson, Content Manager
Laura has worn several hats during her time with Collections Trust, but now keeps the many resources on this website current and relevant. She makes sure that everything is reviewed to a rolling schedule, and is updated or archived as needed. Laura also works closely with Sarah to prepare resources needed for the outreach programme. She is the person to contact if you have suggestions for new resources, have trouble finding existing ones, or spot broken links or out-of-date URLs.

Helen Agosti, Finance Manager
Helen looks after all aspects of Collections Trust’s finances, keeping everything in order and supporting the sound governance of the organisation. She’s new to museums, but has many years’ experience in charity finance.

Greta Kendall, Office Manager
Greta keeps the office running smoothly, and will probably be your first point of contact if you call or email us. She also runs our online shop, and is on hand to help if you have any queries or problems with your order. She is an experienced charity administrator and, in her spare time can be found on her allotment.

Sophie Lealan, Communications Officer
Sophie puts our newsletters together and looks after our social media accounts, as well as keeping the news sections of the website up to date and managing our blog. After studying Art History, she has held various roles in museums and galleries, including digitising for the Internet Archive and as Communications and Marketing Coordinator at Dulwich Picture Gallery, where she still works part-time.

Alex Dawson, Spectrum Adviser
Alex now works as a consultant to Collections Trust, drawing on her experience developing collections management standards such as PAS 197, Spectrum 4.0 and Benchmarks 2.0. She wrote many other of the other resources on this website and is an engaging and knowledgeable trainer. Alex continues to work with us on consultancy projects such as a recent Spectrum training programmes in Poland and Myanmar.
