Successful collection care

This resource is aimed at independent museums, although relevant to all museums. It was created by the Association of Independent Museums, is a companion to the Success Guide, Successful Basic Conservation. Together they provide a practical foundation to understanding ‘preventive’ and ‘interventive’ conservation of collections. It highlights the decay mechanisms affecting objects in museums and explains how to monitor them and what to do to make sure that objects have as long a life as possible.
