Plan and prioritise for collections care

This guide, published by Norfolk Museums and Archaeology Service in partnership with the Collections Trust, is related to the Accreditation Standard 6.2 A collections care and conservation plan, ‘Your museum must have a plan to maintain and, where possible, improve the way you care for and conserve your collections.’

Collections care planning involves analysing and assessing your current activity against good practice guidance and the aims of your organisation and setting out achievable goals to improve the care of collections over time.

This guide will explore the role of planning in delivering effective collections care, and give guidance on achieving goals by efficient planning.
