As part of the British Museum’s collections skills training, this film takes you through the planning stages for an exhibition or display at the British Museum. Holly Wright, Assistant Collections Manager: Care and Access and Julie Carr, Interpretations Officer, talk through the range of people and departments involved when planning how to deliver the key message in an exhibition through design, interpretation, marketing, events and learning. The film also looks at how the British Museum analyses data from previous exhibitions to determine who their visitors are likely to be and therefore how to tailor their interpretation and design to appeal to different audiences.
