The Accreditation Standard requires museums to have a clear and workable emergency plan, which applies to the workforce, to visitors and to collections.
This emergency plan template, created by Norfolk Museums and Archaeology Service, has been designed to be easy to use by simply inserting a museum’s relevant information where prompted. There are lists of information that can be cut and pasted to make each section specific to an institution. The template has been designed so that a plan is produced for fire, flood and leak, for each room or area, both display and storage, on the site.
