Digital preservation guidelines for museums

This great entry-level guide from Renaissance East Midlands outlines the main issues to consider when developing digital content so that it is more sustainable and capable of being preserved in the medium to long-term.

Renaissance East Midlands commissioned these guidelines to assist small to medium size museums in the region in the management of their digital assets. Its aim is to provide simple and straightforward guidance to non-technical people working in museums, in an accessible format. It covers building in sustainability, and providing assistance in dealing with existing assets, which may date from past digitisation programmes. This resource also includes some useful case studies.
