Code for Leasing Business Premises 2007 [amended 2009]

The Accreditation Standard requires a museum to demonstrate that it has acceptable agreements in place for all its premises to secure the collections and enable effective forward planning. Agreements would normally be expected to be for at least 12 months.

The Code for Leasing Business Premises in England and Wales 2007 is the result of collaboration between commercial property professionals and industry bodies representing both owners and occupiers. The Code promotes fairness in commercial leases, ensuring that occupiers of business premises have the information necessary to negotiate the best deal available to them. It was amended in 2009
