Case study: ULITA – improving access for visitors with disabilities

This case study describes how ULITA, an archive of international textiles, approached a project to improve access to its facilities for disabled people.

It is relevant to Accreditation requirement 9.1 To provide stimulating learning and discovery activities, including exhibitions and programmes based on your collections: ‘You should have a variety of ways for people to learn. These should help a broad range of people to access your museum and collections, bearing in mind that you’ll need different approaches to engage with different groups.’
